Hana Raza

Wildlife Conservationist

Hana Raza, born in 1987 in Kurdistan, is a dedicated wildlife conservationist known for her work with endangered species, particularly the Persian leopard.

Growing up in a Peshmerga camp during conflict, she developed a strong connection to nature.

In 2009, Hana joined Nature Iraq, where she established the mammal department and co-authored the "Key Biodiversity Areas of Iraq" book.

She founded Leopards Beyond Borders (LBB), a nonprofit focused on protecting Iraq's wildlife and habitats.

Hana's efforts have made her a leading figure in conservation, inspiring many with her commitment to preserving Iraq's natural heritage.
